The Regular Season in BSN just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Leones edged Capitanes in Juana Diaz 103-101. Leones looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Cameron Oliver (203-1996, college: Nevada) fired 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Luis Lopez (182-1998, college: PR-Mayaguez) chipped in 23 points. Leones' coach Sergio Hernandez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. International swingman Jonathan Rodriguez (196-1987, college: Campbell) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds for lost side. Capitanes will play next round against Osos trying to get back on the winning streak. Leones will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Vaqueros in Bayamon. Hosts were rolled over by Atleticos 96-75. Worth to mention a great performance of Panamanian forward Tony Bishop (202-1989, college: Texas St., agency: 011 Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Tjader Fernandez contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. The former international forward Benito Santiago (197-1989, college: Cumberlands) answered with 17 points and 5 rebounds for Vaqueros. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Atleticos will play against Indios in Mayaguez in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Vaqueros will play on the road against Mets in Guaynabo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a home loss of Osos against Cangrejeros on Thursday night. Host Osos were defeated by Cangrejeros in Manati 98-88. Tu Holloway stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 assists for the winners. Cangrejeros' coach Nathan Peavy allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Lance Tejada responded with 17 points and 8 assists. Cangrejeros will meet Gigantes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Osos will play against Capitanes in Arecibo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 1 Carolina defeated Santurce in a road game 77-74. Fajardo beat Humacao at home 91-84.



Bayamon - San German 75-96

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Vaqueros in Bayamon. Hosts were rolled over by Atleticos 96-75. Atleticos shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Santurce - Carolina 74-77

There was no surprise in Santurce where Cangrejeros were edged by Gigantes 77-74 on Wednesday. Gigantes looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Sheldon Mac (196-1992, college: Miami, FL, agency: Slash Sports) stepped up and scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and his fellow American import Earl Clark (208-1988, college: Louisville) chipped in 10 points and 15 rebounds. At the losing side the former international forward Angel Matias (194-1992, college: Georgia South) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Tu Holloway (183-1989, college: Xavier) scored 14 points and 4 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Gigantes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cangrejeros will play again against Gigantes in Carolina and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Cariduros used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Humacao 91-84 on Wednesday night. American Victor Rudd (206-1991, college: S.Florida) stepped up and scored 28 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and his fellow American import center Elijah Holman (208-1989, college: Detroit) chipped in 20 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side international center Timajh Parker-Rivera (202-1994, college: Towson) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American guard Monty Scott (196-1997, college: EMU) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Grises players scored in double figures. Grises' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Cariduros will meet Piratas in the next round. Grises will play against Piratas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Very important is a home loss of Osos against Cangrejeros on Thursday night. Host Osos were defeated by Cangrejeros in Manati 98-88. Cangrejeros made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Osos' players. American point guard Tu Holloway (183-1989, college: Xavier) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 assists for the winners and his fellow American import center Dererk Pardon (203-1996, college: Northwestern) chipped in 27 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Cangrejeros' coach Nathan Peavy allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American guard Lance Tejada (188-1995, college: Lehigh) responded with 17 points and 8 assists and the former international forward Kevin Young (203-1990, college: Kansas) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Four Cangrejeros and five Osos players scored in double figures. Cangrejeros will meet Gigantes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Osos will play against Capitanes in Arecibo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
